How We Support Our Schools
The mission of the Mahtomedi PTO is student enrichment, teacher/staff support, and community building. We provide discretionary funds and purchase books for classroom teachers and specialists, subsidize field trips and enrichment programs, hold teacher appreciation events and family fun nights, fund special requests for items such as an adaptive climbing wall at Wildwood and the Lü Systems at Wildwood and OHA, and much more.
When you sign up for a volunteer opportunity, donate to the Fun Run, come to the Spring Fling, shop at the Book Fair, or purchase Spirit Wear, Original Works, or a School Supply Kit, you are directly supporting Wildwood and O.H. Anderson students, teachers, and schools.
Where the Money Goes
This map shows MPTO budgeted income and expenses for 2023/24.
Some budget line items have been consolidated for clarity.
Any monies given beyond a line item on our approved budget are considered Funded Requests (grants). These additional funds come from raising more than the budgeted amount at the Fun Run, Spring Fling, and other events/activities throughout the year. All Funded Requests are reviewed and voted on by the MPTO Board with the purpose of using all funds to support the MPTO mission of student enrichment, teacher/staff support, and community building.
