The Mahtomedi Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer organization. The MPTO provides discretionary funds and purchases books for classroom teachers and specialists, subsidizes field trips and enrichment programs, holds teacher appreciation events and family fun nights, funds special requests for items such as an adaptive climbing wall at Wildwood and the Lü Systems at Wildwood and OHA, and much more. Funds are raised through events like the Fun Run and Spring Fling, book fairs, yearbooks, and other opportunities throughout the year.
When you sign up for a volunteer opportunity, donate to the Fun Run, come to the Spring Fling, shop at the Book Fair, or purchase Spirit Wear, Original Works, or a School Supply Kit, you are directly supporting Wildwood and O.H. Anderson students, teachers, and schools.
Operating Budget
Each year, the MPTO Board reviews revenues and expenses to create a proposed budget for the upcoming school year. It is reviewed and modified in an annual meeting with the school principals. Per the MPTO Bylaws, it is presented to the public for one month before it is voted in for the following school year. The proposed budget will appear on our website in mid-April and will be voted on at the May Monthly Meeting.

Funded Requests (Grants)
Any monies given beyond a line item on our approved budget can be reviewed under Funded Requests. These additional funds come from raising more than the budgeted amount at the Fun Run, Spring Fling, and other events/activities throughout the year. Funded Requests are reviewed and voted on by the MPTO Board with the purpose of using all funds to support the MPTO mission of student enrichment, teacher/staff support, and community building. Funded Requests can be submitted by any Wildwood or O.H. Anderson staff. Requests are approved based on need, priority, and available funds. Thank you for your support!
